WORLD PREMIERE IN WOONSOCKET
Guest speaker Jason LeClair introduced us to the Declaration Initiative which centers around a new play by Jonathan Dorf that explores the before, during, and after events of a school shooting. The play explores the experiences and feelings of the majority of students – those who were not injured in an attack.
Jason has collaborated with drama teachers across the country to plan world premiere events. Jason has positioned Woonsocket’s Beacon Charter School as the first to perform Declaration and has scheduled a suite of world premiere events with schools literally across the country.
In addition to being a drama teacher, Jason has also helped out as guest artist on The Rhode Show to help publicize the Street Painting Festival.
