INSPIRATION
Reverend Ralph Barlow reflected on Victory Day, observed last Monday in Rhode Island. There would have been no victory for the Allies without leaders such as Winston Churchill and Ralph offered a brief excerpt from a speech he made to the House of Commons 78 years ago:

“I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears, and sweat…..You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word. It is victory. Victory at all costs---victory in spite of all terrors---victory however long and hard the road may be, for without victory there is no survival.”

IN-MEETING SERVICE: PACKING UP
SCHOOL SUPPLIES FOR KIZIRIAN

To introduce our in-meeting service activity, long-time educator and administrator Mary Cullen spoke about how much teachers appreciate any donation of school supplies for their classrooms.

Art noted that our hands-on project to assemble school supplies for 24 classrooms at Harry Kizirian School was funded by Blue Marble Brands, a collection of organic and specialty food brands headquartered in Providence, and the Providence Rotary Charities Foundation. Bags for the supplies were provided by Amica Insurance.

The Rotarians at our meeting filled bags with donated items to be delivered to the Harry Kizirian School, where teachers Jennifer Pierce and Christine Poland gratefully accepted their shares.
