Well, we made it through 2020, and 2021 has to be better. One way we can make it better is to rededicate ourselves to the service and fellowship of our club. With luck we’ll be able to get back to meeting in person soon and resuming our volunteer work in city classrooms by fall.
Meantime, the Zoom meeting schedule for January and February is below.
If you haven’t attended any of our online meetings yet, why not make it a New Year thing to try. You can do it from any internet-connected computer, tablet or smartphone just by clicking on the link below. It’s a great way to get back in touch with Rotary friends, plus we have some great speakers lined up.

COMMUNITY SERVICE
FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Club members stepped up to make the holidays brighter for a dozen young women in shelters operated by Family Service of Rhode Island. Under Kris David’s leadership they purchased wishlist items for the girls, such as winter coats, shoes and boots, undergarments and personal care items, valued at $150-200. After ‘posing’ for a photo under the tree at Kris’s home, each gift bag was delivered in time for Christmas.
CLUB FELLOWSHIP 62 YEARS AGO
From the Providence Journal of August 20, 1958 -- At the annual outing of the Providence Rotary Club, held yesterday at Peleg Francis Farm in Rehoboth, club president Thomas H. Bride shows how he makes steamed clams disappear. Watching (l-r) are Artacky Berberian, clambake chairman; James W. Nugent, club secretary; and George M. Crawford, event co-chair.
