INSPIRATION
by Nondas, read by Walter Cotter
“One glance at (a book) and you hear the voice of another person - perhaps someone dead for thousands of years. Across the millennia, the author is speaking, clearly and silently, inside your head, directly to you. Writing is perhaps the greatest of human inventions, binding together people, citizens of distant epochs, who never knew one another. Books break the shackles of time.”

Walter also mentioned Dr. Tunji Funsho, chair of Rotary International’s Polio-eradication program, has been named as one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People of 2020.

MURDER ON THE EAST SIDE, FICTIONALLY SPEAKING
Amazon bestselling author and Providence resident Vanessa Lillie was pleased to speak to us in her first in-person since COVID.

The turning point in her life was the birth of her son. Her first book Little Voices was about a new mom that had to solve a murder. Vanessa worked in politics and many real locations, such as Swan Point, Hope Street, Newport, etc.

Her second book For The Best is set on the Eastside. Again working many familiar locations from 7 Stars to the wine store on South Main Street.

She then read the first chapters of her book to give us a flavor of her recent thriller. Books can be purchased at inkfish Books Warren in person or online.

She's a Board Member of Sisters in Crime and regular contributor to The Providence Journal. Her next book, For the Best, was released on September 8th.
