Speaker

Sharon Johnson District Governor 2024-25

Sharon served up a spirited monologue about her Governor’s Challenge, starting with her experience as a Girl Scout leader and her Journey as District Governor.

Sharon discussed her goals for this rotary year and challenged Providence Rotary to join her in achieving them.

  • Goal one - Establishing or reviving 4 new clubs, with some notable prospects.
  • Goal two - Increase the ranks by 100 net new members, noting Providence Rotary alone is up to 11.
  • Goal three - Establish a peace builders club. She described what the formation of a peace club should look like.
  • Finally, Goal Four - See that Providence, and all clubs in her jurisdiction can be considered “Irresistibles”, which by definition means raising the clubs appeal to newcomers, make it welcoming, make it service oriented.
She added the following announcements:  District Conference May 30-June 1st and the International Conference is in Calgary, Canada on June 21 to June 25.

Sharon encouraged all to visit the District website for more news and announcements.
