As I'm sure you're aware, our fifth Legends for Literacy Gala is set for Thursday evening, October 17, to support the Jane Babcock Childhood Literacy Initiative.
As you may not know, sponsors are the largest source of funds to provide literacy teaching materials for use by teachers and young students in Providence. Expanding the group of businesses and individuals who give larger amounts is the key to expanding the amount of help we can provide to advance the critical skills of reading and comprehension.
Here's how you can help:
Consider becoming a sponsor yourself. At $500, a Game Sponsorship costs only $200 more than two individual admissions.
Think about people you know -- friends, business associates or owners, etc. -- who might be interested in helping Providence kids achieve the literacy skills that will make a huge difference in their life chances. Share the attached leaflet with them, along with a personal note about why you're supporting the Legends for Literacy.
Your commitment will make a big difference to the success of our literacy initiative.
