INSPIRATION
Nondas Voll quoted from Steve Jobs:
“Here’s to the ones who see things differently. They push the human race forward, and while some may see them as crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do it.”

MEMBERSHIP MINUTES
PP Anthony Hollingshead introduced three new members, Marc Harris, David Salvatore and James Scott, who described their backgrounds, experiences and reasons for joining Rotary.
James, Assistant Principal of Kizirian Elementary School, grew up in Middletown and graduated from URI. During his school days he worked for an ice factory where he observed jobs being replaced by machines and learned that you have to keep reinventing yourself. Later he attended Boston University and taught in Quincy, MA. Today he serves on the board of Smith Hill CDC. He believes that there is much hope along with challenges for schools today. By joining Rotary, James plans to make the world better.

Marc, involved with sales for Blue Cross/Blue Shield of RI, was born in Greensboro, NC, and graduated from Appalachian State University in advertising and marketing. He became a TV photo journalist, fundraised for the Boy Scouts, and served as a Rotarian. He hopes to give back to the community by re-joining Rotary, saying that he endorses this year’s Rotary theme: “Making a Difference.” He joined our Book Club and urged the audience to call upon him for any help in the future.

David, Director of Government Relations for the RI Association of Realtors, is also a City Councilor for Ward 14 comprising the Elmhurst and Wanskuck neighborhoods. A graduate of Rhode Island College, he is studying for an MBA at Roger Williams University. He was employed with Staples for 13 years before taking positions within state government. He hopes to give back to the City of Providence and its nonprofit organizations while recruiting more young people to join Rotary.
