President Paul Borrelli recognized our Club’s new Paul Harris fellows: Bintou Chatterton,, John Folan, and Geoff Gaunt.
Walter Adamowicz reported that the fishing derby was a great success, and directed our attention to pictures on each table of happy kids, very unhappy fish with hooks in their mouths and earnest Rotarians working at disengaging said fish from said hooks.
Jenny Miller announced that the exciting, the installation of our own Kris David as District Governor will take place on July 9, followed by the Glenn Miller ensemble. All members are strongly encouraged to attend this prestigious event for our club. See Liz Messier to sign up. (There will be no regular club meeting on July 6.)
Jenny Miller also announced the Flip Flops for Friends drive for La Romana in the Dominican Republic.. Our goal is 3,000 pairs of flip flops. Posters are available to place at your office or place of business. If you collect them, Jenny will pick them up and deliver them to the Dominican Republic.
Don Saracen reminded us of Kevin Oates’ imminent retirement as the Club’s Sargent-At-Arms, and requested anyone interested in checking in members to see him.
President Paul Borelli reminded Rotarians to take care of any unpaid dues. The Club is carrying a significant dues receivable on its books.
