President Kris asked for a Moment of silence for those affected by violence in the Middle East.

Announcements

George Babcock was given an award signed by Mayor Smiley for his commitment to literacy.

Special Celebration – Happy 90th

If you are attending the funeral for Rev. Ralph  Barlow, please be at Swan Point at 10:30 for the color guard.  All members are encouraged to attend next week; district governor Angela Ponte will be present. 
 
After Thanksgiving, no Tuesday meeting on 11/28, but at Barker Playhouse on Thursday November 30th at 6:30pm for a Rotary After Dark Event.  Tickets are $10 per person.  This is a family friendly show.
 
See Sharon Garland if you are interested in running for the board of directors.  Time commitment one hour per month.

Speaker

Courtney Edge-Mattos owner of Providence Ghost Tours via Zoom.  Courtney is a paranormal believer/enthusiast and has experiences with such.  Providence Ghost Tours have been around since 2006.  Courtney also is a social worker, professionally.  Courtney appreciates the history of Providence and applies the lens of the city’s history to the paranormal.
Courtney shared many stories about paranormal presence in Providence including:
  • Trinity Repertory Company is a great example, with many stories.  More than meets-the-eye, for sure.
  • Providence Armory
Kris discussed a paranormal experience on campus at The Wheeler School
Discussion focused on differences among “ghosts, spirits, and beings.”
Halloween costumes were recognized & applauded.
