Thanks, too, to Walt Adamowicz and Paul Segal for all they’ve done for so many years to organize the club trip to the Boston Pops!
Get Well: Christy Clausen was having kidney stones blasted away. Be sure to wish her a speedy recovery!
HAPPY BUCKS
Margaret Kane – Told a delightful Memorial Day joke!
Barbara Harris – Is back from Florida and happy to see everyone again!
Mary Brewster – Is happy after a great trip to France and Switzerland, where she talked with fellow Rotarians in France (who create a new club every time current club membership exceeds 25 people!).
Bob Morse -$50 happy bucks after returning from Florida and a great Memorial Day with his children and grandchildren.
Wendy Marcus – Welcome back to the snowbirds! And a bittersweet birthday happy buck, as it would have been Anne Black’s birthday in June.
Bob Murphy – Is happy about another wonderful annual fishing trip with students from San Miguel. Thanks to Richard Applebaum and Bill David for help with cooking and food, Don Saracen, who brought his grandson, and Pete Brook, who facilitated a donation of Bass Pro fishing rods for the students.
Don Saracen – Is happy about the success of the annual San Miguel fishing trip.
Richard Applebaum - Welcome back to the snowbirds, and also happy about the San Miguel fishing trip.
Bill DiBiasio – Happy to stumble upon a coffee stop run by Rotarians in Miami.
HAPPY SUMMER READING
FOR KIZIRIAN 3RD GRADERS
Club members participated in a service activity led by Bryan Cook. Providence Rotary purchased 110 summer reading books (Fourth Grade Rats by Jerry Spinelli) for rising 4th graders at Harry Kizirian Elementary. Club members labeled and personally signed each of the books, with the labels wishing the students “Happy Summer Reading!”
And two days later a team of about eight club members presented the books, along with some candy and pens, to the kids in all four third grade classes at the school. Seeing their smiles made it all worthwhile.
