Inspiration
Don Saracen highlighted wisdom from Mark Twain, where a minister inspires a congregation member about the plight of a native group, so much so that the congregation member mentally increases the funds that he plans to contribute. Eventually, a point of diminishing marginal returns is passed, and the congregation member eventually decides that he will TAKE money from the collection plate, rather than contributing to it.
