BROWN MED SCHOOL DEVELOPS
CURRICULUM TO HELP FIGHT
OPIOID EPIDEMIC

Guest speaker Dr. Paul George is a family Practice Specialist who graduated with honors from Brown University in Medicine in 2005. An assistant dean at the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University, Dr. George reported that Rhode Island has one of the highest number of deaths, per capita, due to opioids.

The Brown Medical School has a designed a new curriculum to address this issue.
