Assassins Benefit – The Players at the Barker Playhouse
Liz Messier announced that the Assassins benefit on Thursday, May 19 begins with cocktails and hors oeuvres at 6:30 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the Club’s Kazarian School project. Over 60 tickets has been sold, see Liz to purchase yours.
Kizarian School Project – Time for “hand’s on” service
Art Norwalk reported that the project to refresh the school environment will start on Saturday, June 4th, 8 am to 12 pm. Contact Art if you’re willing to assemble furniture and Lisa Hill or Mary Brewster if you want to paint.
Support Interact Service Projects
The Providence Interact Club partners with local charitable restaurants to provide Rotarians with an inexpensive night out to enjoy healthy food and FUN. Your presence will support the Interact Club’s Community Service Project.

Providence Rotary Charities Foundation
Jan Feyler announced that the Board of Providence Charities Foundation (the philanthropic arm of our Club) has approved $65,000 of grants to 32 non-profits in 2016. The current value of the Foundations’ fund is $1.7 million, built by the generosity and hard work of Club members to support critical projects throughout the community.
New Members of the 1911 Society

Peter Loescher introduced Richard Kaplan and Jerry Cannon as new members of the Club’s 1911 Society. The Society recognizes those who have advised the Club that they have made plans for a gift to the Providence Rotary Charities Foundation in their estate plans. Peter is willing to help other Rotary members who are considering an estate gift. Rotarians who have previously “signed up” for the 1911 Society are George Babcock, Henry Davis, Frederick Griffiths and David Harrison.
