Anne Kilkenny
Early Childhood Librarian - PPL
Anne has spent the better part of 3 decades playing with and educating young children. In her current position as Early Childhood/Children's Educator at Providence Public Library she designs and implements programming for ages birth to 12 such as storytimes for the very young, and a weekly STEAM club for elementary students. She also coordinates Summer with your PVD Libraries with her counterparts at Community Libraries of Providence to ensure that all children have access to books and enriching activities during the summer months.

Prior to coming to the library, Anne was owner/director of a nationally accredited early learning center for 15 years. She is also an adjunct instructor of early childhood education at CCRI.
When she is not at the library, you can usually find her in the garden, designing and planting for pollinators and wildlife or singing with a local, award-winning acapella group. She has two grown children and two cuddly cats who enjoy watching British mysteries with her on weekends.
