After more than 28 years of service as a senior staff member at the Rhode
Island Foundation, Carol recently began her own consulting practice as a
philanthropy advisor. She assists individual donors, private foundations and
corporations in articulating and implementing strategic giving plans that
match the donor’s charitable goals with community needs to achieve
maximum impact. Her extensive knowledge of the nonprofit landscape as
well as her deep understanding of the complexity of philanthropic decision-
making allows her to help clients navigate both lifetime giving and charitable
estate planning.
Prior to her career at the Foundation, Carol served as executive director of
several nonprofit organizations. She has led classes and workshops on
multiple topics related to charitable planning both locally and nationally.
Carol is a Rhode Island native who graduated from Classical High School,
earned an undergraduate degree from Drew University and a master’s in Communiy Health from the University of Maryland.
