Michael's newest book called Rhode Island Memories III: From Turmoil to the Providence Renaissance

Michael Delaney is the Director of Photography and Graphics at the Providence Journal. He is a graduate of Providence College. He has worked at the Journal as an editor and manager for 34 years. He was also a staff photographer at the Miami News newspaper in Florida for 7 years where he did extensive coverage on the Space shuttle program. His awards included being named Photographer of the Year by the Pro Football Hall of Fame, and he directed the Providence Journal's year-long photo coverage of the Station Fire in 2003, for which the Journal was a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in Public Service. The series of three Rhode Island Memories Books that he has edited and written have been very popular with Journal readers.
