Cap Wiley inspired us by asking how we should celebrate October 21. One way is to celebrate National Pumpkin Cheesecake Day, followed by nachos. One can also celebrate National Apple Day. There are lots of other reasons to love October 21. Who knew?

- Art Norwalk kicked in $10, reflecting on Sputnik and its anniversary, + his first stint in the opening of the tutoring program at Kizirian Elementary. Openings are plentiful.
- Liz Messier offered a $1 for the gala volunteers and an opportunity to get to know new people at the event.
- Rob Brewster was thankful for tutoring opportunities and many drawings and thank-you notes supplied by students in thanks.

Don Saracen introduced our speaker, Sarah Guernelli, WPRI Investigative Consumer Reporter.

Sarah is an Emmy-nominated investigative reporter at WPRI12 Providence. Sarah, a member of the Target 12 Investigative Unit, focuses on consumer rights, safety concerns, and public policy. She is deeply committed to serving the Rhode Island community.
Sarah Guernelli gave a behind-the-scenes overview of the production of the Target 12 Investigative segments.
The idea is to highlight consumer issues.
