Speaker
Bill Applegate mentioned visiting Nico Bella’s, a restaurant in downtown Providence on Dorrance/Westminster. He met the owner, Daniel Crenca, and during the conversation learned of his philanthropic adventure to become PVD Santa.

Daniel’s family has been in the restaurant business for decades and a few generations. He trained at some of the best-known restaurants in the city. During the Pandemic he grew out his beard and his family and friends said he would make a good Santa.
PVD Santa is a charitable organization that focuses on Christmastime activities. Daniel got his start playing Santa when Nico Bella’s re-opened in the pandemic era. Daniel shared several experiences over the course of his five-year tenure as PVD Santa, some of which are emotional, and heart warming. Daniel feels a calling to help the communities in need in our city of Providence. He also gave tremendous admiration to Heather, his "Mrs. Claus".
