Jim Hummel from The Hummel Report
His career in investigative reporting

Jim Hummel - Recipient of Radio Television Digital News Association’s Edward R. Murrow Award and two Associated Press Awards, all for investigative reporting; he is also a five-time nominee in the regional Emmy Awards.

Jim Hummel left the traditional news because he saw where the industry was going. After 13 years at the Providence Journal, then 13 years at ABC Channel 6 News, Jim founded The Hummel Report in 2009. Now he is on the cutting edge of the New Media news outlets. With an exclusive partnership with WPRO 630 AM and 99.7 FM, Rhode Island PBS Television, and the Providence Journal newspaper, Jim can now provide on multiple media outlets the hard nosed investigative journalism he did while creating the "You Paid for It" segment on ABC 6.
